Tapi makes progress on Carpetright store takeover

Tapi Carpets & Floors has announced its full list of summer store openings so far, on the site of former Carpetright stores.

In July 2024, Tapi Carpets & Floors bought Carpetright when the company went into administration, which included taking over 54 stores from the retailer. The eight store refurbs add to Tapi's portfolio of more than 200 stores, with further refurbs from Carpetright to Tapi stores scheduled for opening in late 2025.

The five new stores are either set to open, or recently opened, in Norwich Sprowston, Yeovil, Washington, Plymouth and Bishopbriggs, while refurbs were also carried out in Torquay, Manchester White City and Barrow.

"We’re thrilled to be opening our brand-new stores, giving local customers the chance to explore our extensive range of carpets, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl and wood flooring," says Jeevan Karir, CEO of Tapi Carpets & Floors. "From timeless classics to on-trend designs, we’ve got something to suit every style, taste, and budget. Our friendly team is looking forward to welcoming customers through our doors, helping them find the perfect flooring to transform their homes."
