Furniture brand Swyft has announced its official launch into Switzerland and Austria, marking its fourth and fifth international territories since its founding in 2019.
The expansion follows the early success of Swyft’s German debut in February 2025, which has exceeded expectations with order volumes doubling initial forecasts and growth tracking ahead of the brand’s first five months in the UK, says the brand.
Originally intended as a standalone market launch, strong consumer demand and a "seamless" European supply chain have fast-tracked the move into neighbouring markets ahead of schedule, it adds.
Keiran Hewkin, CEO and co-founder of Swyft, comments: "Swyft was a UK-only company from 2019 until early this year. Since launching in Germany and Ireland earlier this year, we’re delighted to confirm our fourth and fifth territories – Switzerland and Austria.
"This launch comes earlier than planned, driven by the success of Germany’s rollout and rapid acceleration of demand across the region. Instead of setting fixed timelines for growth, we focused on key performance milestones, and we’re proud to say we’ve met, and exceeded, them."
This latest launch will allow customers in Switzerland and Austria to shop Swyft’s collection online, supported by the same quick-shipping capabilities made possible by the brand’s Polish manufacturing and logistics hub, which has enabled faster, more efficient expansion across mainland Europe.
With over 30,000 orders fulfilled in 2024, Swyft is on track for further international growth, aided by a £10m investment from parent company Sleep Brands. The company also plans to nearly double its SKU count by the end of 2025, as it continues to scale its offering and enhance delivery operations.
"With support from Sleep Brands, we’re well-positioned to continue our European growth journey," adds Keiran. "We believe good furniture should enhance your life, not get in the way of it. And we’re excited to bring that philosophy to even more homes across Europe."
