Scottish industry charity appoints new president

Scottish industry charity, the Scottish Furniture Trades Benevolent Association (SFTBA), has appointed a new president – Sterling Furniture's bedroom buyer, David Amery.

Neil Richardson, proprietor of Hampton and McMurray Furnishers, Glasgow, has been appointed David's supporting vice-president.

"I am very honoured to take up the position of president of this fantastic charity, and would like to thank Donna Spiers (Archers Sleepcentre's buying director), retiring president, for her leadership and contribution to the association over the past two years."

The SFTBA aims to assist those who have fallen on hard times due to illness or other circumstances, and raises funds through events such as the annual President's Dinner (set to take place in November), and the Annual Golf Outing at Deer Park Country Club, Livingston, taking place this year on 8th August.

Anyone interested in the SFTBA can register as a friend on the charity's website to find out more.
