Upmarket US lifestyle brand RH has opened RH London, The Gallery in Mayfair. Located between the fashion houses of New Bond Street and the tailors of Savile Row, the opulent showroom is described as being "at the epicentre of luxury and design", spanning five levels connected by a glass lift.
The opening was marked by a celebrity-packed unveiling on 25th June, with guests including Margot Robbie, Theo James, Henry Cavill, Guy Ritchie, Janet Jackson, Hayley Atwell, Poppy Delevingne and Tom Dixon CBE.
Originally designed by architect Giacomo Leoni, the venue reflects three centuries of London's architectural and cultural heritage, combining three properties to create the "most inspiring and immersive retail and hospitality concepts" in the brand's history.
It marks the UK debut of RH Estates (the brand already operates from its Aynho Park showroom) and also serves as a base for RH Interior Design, one of the world's largest residential design firms.
Featuring artistic installations of furniture, antiques, artifacts and art in a gallery setting, each level boasts exhibits created by global artists and curated pieces "not only chosen to furnish your home, but also define it".
"While RH London may not sound like a retail store, it’s not meant to be," says the brand. "It is an authentic expression of the RH vision and values, while also recognising and respecting that in London, the measure is legacy. This we know, and have designed accordingly."
