Following the successful participation and certification of 14 countries in which it operates, JYSK has been certified as a Top Employer Europe 2026, reflecting its strong focus on HR practices and employee satisfaction.
“We are very proud that so many JYSK countries have been certified as Top Employers. This certification provides us with valuable data and insights to continue improving and ensuring the best HR practices across the entire organisation,” says Jan Verhoek, EVP HR at JYSK.
Every year, the Top Employers Institute validates and certifies companies based on their HR strategies and practices. This year, 14 JYSK countries received the Top Employer certification after completing an extensive survey and being validated by an independent auditor. Four countries – Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Serbia – achieved the certification for the first time, demonstrating the retailer's commitment to continuously improving HR practices.
The Top Employer Europe certification is awarded to companies with multiple certified countries. While not all JYSK countries participate in the Top Employers Certification Programme, many receive local certifications and awards throughout the year.
“The employer awards and certifications achieved across all our countries, together with the results of our internal employee satisfaction surveys, show we are on the right track in making JYSK employees’ first choice within retail,” says Jan.
In 2025, JYSK celebrated multiple employer awards and certifications and was featured on global employer ranking lists, including Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For, World’s Best Employers by Forbes, and World’s Best Companies by TIME Magazine.
All JYSK countries certified as Top Employers improved their scores compared to last year. Notably, JYSK Italy achieved the largest improvement, with an 8.22% increase. Overall, JYSK’s group average rose to 77.21%, from 72.69% in 2025.
JYSK performed best in the domain focusing on Business Strategy, People Strategy and Leadership, reflecting its commitment to motivating and developing employees. Within the individual areas, Leadership once again scored high at 99.43%, alongside Performance Tracking at 97.53%. Employer Branding achieved a perfect score of 100%, reinforcing JYSK’s position as an attractive employer.
