Glasswells has announced that its Bury St Edmunds store is about to undergo a £500,000 refurbishment of the ground floor, enhancing the cookshop, gifts, lighting, bedding and bath departments.
Established in 1946, Glasswells is a family-run home furnishing and removals company that offers a wide range of furniture, flooring, home accessories, and professional removal services.
With the refurb, Glasswells says it aims to modernise its showrooms and create "first-class shopping environments": "This investment will ensure showrooms feature contemporary layouts and design elements that enhance shoppers experience, offering customers a more spacious and inspiring environment to explore the latest home furnishing trends."
Work is set to be completed by the autumn, with the store remaining open throughout. In preparation for the refurbishment, surplus stock is being cleared across all departments.
MD Paul Glasswell explains: “We’re committed to delivering a shopping experience you can truly enjoy. This refurbishment is part of our ongoing investment in enhancing the store’s ambience and delivering an exceptional customer journey. We’ve been a part of the town since 1946, and this is about building for the future – we’re here to stay.”
