Yesterday saw the official opening of Fairway Furniture's new store in Barnstaple, after a successful soft launch on 1st September.
"The reaction from customers has been incredible, and we're looking forward to delivering the people of North Devon our market-leading range, backed by our 'Excellent' rated Trustpilot service," says MD Peter Harding.
The retailer is celebrating the launch by donating £5 per order taken in September to its charity partner, the nearby Children's Hospice South West, which offers care to terminally ill children.
Barnstaple's is the fifth store in the Fairway group, and showcases an iteration of its new store format which debuted in its flagship store in Plymouth in late 2024.
"I'm very blessed to lead a fantastic team who have excelled to deliver this store on time and on budget, using in the main local contractors," says Peter, reflecting on three months of work since the business took possession of the empty building.
"I'm also very proud of the new store team too, who have developed a superb group ethic already after only six weeks together, helped by superb training from Furniture Sales Solutions, among others."
