ercol Furniture has taken ownership of its flagship Chelsea store, bringing the King's Road showroom fully in-house.
Following the operation of the store under a franchise model, the acquisition marks the next stage in ercol's retail strategy. The brand says the partnership provided a strong foundation for the business and made the transition to direct ownership a natural progression.
MD David Finch comments: "The store gives us a direct connection with our customers, helping us better understand buying behaviour, product performance and the overall retail experience. These insights will strengthen the support we provide across our wider retail partner network."
The showroom will also serve as a hub for product launches, customer events, retailer previews, training and PR activity, while providing valuable feedback on furniture collections and specifications.
ercol says it continues to invest in its manufacturing operations, expanding its supply function through recruitment and increasing production capacity with the addition of a new CNC machine.
