Bensons for Beds has launched workplace finance provider Stream, following feedback through Great Place To Work and its Sleep Council that teams wanted more practical support around financial wellbeing.
Stream promises staff access to a range of fair, inclusive financial tools, including real-time earnings tracking, the ability to save directly from wages, access to a portion of earned pay before payday, benefits and discounts, pension pot consolidation and personalised financial guidance and education through Stream’s Coach feature.
The launch is part of Bensons’ continued investment in pay, reward and staff benefits. Employees already have access to a wide-ranging package including a 35% staff discount, up to 50% off own-brand products with offers, gym discounts and fitness support, cycle-to-work scheme, virtual GP, employee assistance programme, enhanced family leave, high street discounts, life assurance and a healthcare cash plan. Sales consultants also have access to bonus and commission.
Carrie Westwell, chief people and culture officer at Bensons for Beds, says: “Financial wellbeing is now one of the most important ways employers can support their people. It is not just about what someone earns, but how easy it is for them to plan, manage the unexpected and feel more confident about the future.
“At Bensons, we want our reward and benefits offer to be practical, relevant and genuinely useful in colleagues’ everyday lives. Stream gives our teams more visibility and flexibility, while sitting alongside the wider package of pay, benefits, wellbeing support and development opportunities we are continuing to build.
“Our colleagues are the heart of the Bensons experience. They bring our sleep expertise to life for customers every day, so investing in their wellbeing is fundamental to the culture we want to create and the kind of business we want to be. So far nearly a third of colleagues have already enrolled and 70% of them have already set up a savings pot.”
The investment also supports Bensons’ wider transformation plan, which identifies 'Unlocking the Power of Our People' as a lead priority.
Peter Briffett, CEO and co-founder of Stream, adds: “The best employers are recognising that their people are their greatest asset, and that true financial support doesn't stop at a salary. By giving colleagues tools to support greater visibility over day-to-day money management, along with long-term financial planning, Bensons are investing in the financial future of thousands of UK workers. We’re proud to be a part of that.”
