Industry livery company welcomes new freemen

The Furniture Makers' Company welcomed nine new freemen at its AGM, held at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London on 12th April 2023.

The nine freemen declared their support to the company, before signing a declaration and being personally welcomed by Tony Attard OBE DL, master of The Furniture Makers’ Company.

The new freemen are: Richard Boyce, St Albans High School for Girls; Terry Brazier, retired antique furniture restorer; David Fielding, Vitafoam; Katryn Furmston, PhD Student at Nottingham Trent University; John Gulian, John Gulian Design; Gareth Mayhew, TCM Living; Chris Nice, CRN; Michael Priest, Michael Priest Designs; and Gregg Wooding, Spencewood Interiors.

Tony Attard comments: “We’re delighted to welcome so many new freemen, all from very different areas of the wider furnishing industry. We’re very proud to represent such a diverse, creative and vibrant industry, and our new admissions emphasise the mix of people involved in our fantastic sector.”
