Darren Scott, head of property at Bensons for Beds, together with six property sector colleagues, have completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Darren’s teammates, dubbed the Bensons for Beds Property Partners, come from businesses that have worked on Bensons’ property portfolio restructuring over the past 18 months.
They completed the challenge on 23rd September, inside their target of 10 hours and on track to raise £10,000 for Macmillan.
The team rallied round when Darren, from Scunthorpe, said he wanted to tackle the challenge to thank Macmillan for helping his mum, Christine, get through surgery and recovery after she was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
Darren says: “Because of lockdown, she had to go through this ordeal without family and friends around, but Macmillan were fantastic, and I don’t think she would have coped without their amazing support.”
