The Furniture Makers’ Company has welcomed Sanderson Design Group as a corporate member.
Sanderson Design Group is an international luxury interior furnishings company that designs, manufactures and markets wallpapers and fabrics, together with a wide range of ancillary interior products. Its brands include Zoffany, Harlequin, Sanderson, Morris & Co, Scion, Anthology and Clarke & Clarke. The company also has two UK factories, Standfast & Barracks and Anstey Wallpaper Company, dedicated to the manufacture of fabric and wallpaper.
Dame Dianne Thompson, non-executive chairman, Lisa Montague, CEO, and Carla Barnett, group HR director, have all been admitted to The Furniture Makers’ Company as Sanderson Design Group’s corporate liverymen, and Claire Vallis, group creative director, will be admitted at a later date.
Corporate membership provides opportunities for companies to support the company’s charitable activities, get involved with civic events and network with other members.
Lisa Montague says: “It gives me great pleasure to afford The Furniture Makers’ Company our support for their excellent programmes, championing expertise and welfare within the furnishing industry. Our two groups share a common cause – to make our wonderful world accessible to a wider audience by attracting new talent to the sector. Aligning the visions of our two organisations, is, I feel, essential in upholding our mutual values and projecting them into the future.”
David Woodward, master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, comments: “We are very pleased to welcome Sanderson Design Group as a corporate member and specifically Dame Dianne, Lisa, Carla and Claire as corporate liverymen. We look forward to welcoming them again at a formal ceremony at Furniture Makers’ Hall when circumstances allow.
“Our corporate members are of the greatest importance to us. We are delighted that so many different companies from the wider furnishing industry understand the importance of joining as members and supporting our charitable endeavours. All members, individual or corporate, are invited to participate in the many events in the city livery calendar, which are great for networking, entertaining, as well as having fun.”
