Health and wellbeing company, Mammoth, was the proud sponsor of the 2020 Rugby Players’ Association (RPA) Hall of Fame Award. Hosted by Alex Payne and James Haskell of The Good, the Bad and the Rugby podcast, the recent ceremony was held virtually due to Covid-19, in honour of the players who have stood out – both on and off the field.
On the night, Sir Bill Beaumont, chairman of World Rugby, was the worthy winner of the Hall of Fame Award, sponsored by Mammoth. Mammoth is gifting one of its naturally cooling Medical Grade foam mattresses to Sir Bill, as part of his prize.
The former rugby union player, who captained England and now heads up world rugby, was honoured to be recognised by players, and commented on the night: “I am still a player at heart, I still think like a player, I still think I can play, but that’s the great thing about our game.” His fondest memory was playing for his country, the highlight of his rugby life, and he reminisced about the “good old days”, as well as looking to the future in his role in world rugby.

As a direct result of the partnership, there are around 250 active and retired rugby players currently sleeping on Mammoth mattresses.
