UK-based manufacturer of folding beds, sofa beds and mattresses Jay-Be has strengthened its team by appointing Mark Cort as its new MD.
This is one of a number of key appointments following 12 years of continued growth for the business, with additional success in the US, Canada, and Europe.
Mark says: “I’m joining the business to help drive a new phase of growth and exposure for Jay-Be. The business is in a stronger place than ever before and has ambitious product plans ahead. I’m excited about where we can take the brand and our customers - watch this space, the next chapter of Jay-Be is just getting started.”
Previously commercial director at Bensons For Beds, Mark joins an established board and will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, allowing CEO Roger Durrans to focus more on strategic vison and product innovation.
Roger comments: “I’ve known Mark since I entered the bed trade around 18 years ago – in fact, my first-ever deal was selling a guest bed to Sleepmasters where Mark was the buyer. Since then I’ve seen how he’s continued to play a significant role in helping to shape the bed industry and I am extremely excited to welcome him into the Jay-Be team, where I know he’s going to have a huge impact.”
