Bensons and Harveys stores have helped Magic Radio raise over £14m in donations, and ensured 393,499 children across the UK received a visit from Santa, as part of a dedicated Christmas charity drive.
Bensons for Beds and Harveys partnered with Magic Radio’s Cash For Kids to support Magic Mission Christmas, a dedicated initiative to distribute thousands of gifts to children. Magic Radio asked listeners to buy one extra gift at Christmas and drop it off at their local Bensons or Harveys stores. The toys were then collected and distributed to thousands of disadvantaged children ahead of Christmas Day.
Rachel Marshall, brand manager for Harveys and Bensons, says: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of local community members, who’ve collectively helped exceed last year’s total. It’s wonderful to have seen so many people come together to help make a difference. Every child should have a special Christmas, and each year, Mission Christmas inspires us all to dig a little deeper during the festive season for children who might not otherwise receive a gift.”
Magic Radio breakfast presenter Ronan Keating adds: “We’d like to send a huge thanks to all those that have been part of raising such an incredible amount of money and helping so many people around the country. It really does help make a difference in these children’s lives.”
