Emma celebrates Black Friday success

European bed-in-a-box brand Emma has reported a successful Black Friday campaign, in which it generated sales of €9m across its 18 markets from 29th November to 2nd December.

This represents a YoY growth of +80% – during peak hours, Emma reports that it sold one mattress every eight seconds. In the UK, over 3000 mattresses were sold on 29th November alone.

Starting the campaign mid-month paid off for Emma – last month, Emma sold 73,000 mattresses worldwide, representing YoY growth of 192%, making it a record month for the company.

"In 2019, Emma almost doubled the Black Friday revenues compared to the previous year. It is rare for a young start-up to maintain its rapid growth in its fourth financial year. This is proof to our sustained growth path and demonstrates our team’s excellence," says Dennis Schmoltzi, CEO and founder of Emma.

Emma has built a global supply chain over the past 12 months, tripling production capacity.
