Steve Freeman has stepped down from day-to-day executive duties as MD of the Silentnight Group to become an advisor to the company.

His successor is Neil Anderson, who joins the board as group sales MD. Neil brings a wealth of commercial and retail experience from time spent at Farrow & Ball, Scottish & Newcastle, PepsiCo and BAA.

Also joining the group is Ian Lambert as marketing director of Silentnight brands. Ian likewise has a wealth of marketing, product and retail experience from his time at Nobia UK and Magnet Kitchens, and managing high-profile retail and manufacturing clients through his tenure with advertising agencies, JWT, Connectpoint and McCann.

Chairman Adrian Fawcett comments: "Our aim is to continue to build upon the achievements of the last seven years, as we transition the Silentnight brand into being the number-one brand in the total sleep category, from its early origins as a mattress and bed producer, expanding further from our strong UK base into becoming a major international player for the future."
