Midpoint joins Manchester Furniture Show

The organisers of the Manchester Furniture Show and the Midpoint Furniture Exhibition have announced that the two events will combine in 2018.

Midpoint will retain its own identity and will occupy the Charter Hall adjacent to the main hall of Manchester Central. Moving from its June dates and its Solihull location, Midpoint will extend from its usual two to three days, in line with the Manchester Furniture Show’s July dates.

Commenting on the amalgamation, Theresa Raymond, director of the Manchester Furniture Show, says: “This is big news for both shows – Midpoint has a great reputation and exhibitors of high quality. We are delighted to welcome their exhibitors and visitors to our long established, and popular, Manchester event. The planning for 2018 has already begun and the uniting of these two shows will give buyers even more reason to visit Manchester next July.”

Mark Callaghan, MD of Baker Furniture and representing Midpoint, says: “Taking Midpoint to Manchester raises the profile of both shows and represents a unique mid-season opportunity for furniture buyers. Manchester Central is an excellent venue and we are confident that both shows will benefit from the amalgamation.”

The Manchester Furniture Show already has a high rate of re-bookings for 2018, with major brands including Ashley Manor, Whitemeadow, Gallery Direct, Westbridge, VIDA Living, Corndell and Rauch confirmed. The Midpoint exhibitors joining them include Baker Furniture, Tetrad, Italia Living and SITS, among other well-known names.

Dates for the 2018 show are 15th-17th July 2018.
