Carpetright, one of the UK’s leading floorcoverings and beds retailers, has launched its first ever Store Manager Academy which will see 75 store managers embarking on a year-long course to achieve an Institute of Leadership & Management Diploma Level 3.
The course, which is split into 12 modules, offers a learning and development opportunity and includes topics such as Leadership Styles, Coaching and Operational Planning. It has been specially-tailored to Carpetright colleagues to ensure they get maximum benefit and that it equips them with additional skills to enhance their performance and further their careers.
Carpetright has partnered with training experts, Remit Group, to develop and deliver the course which includes e-learning on Carpetright’s learning and communications platform Fuse, the creation of e-portfolios, one-on-one support from a dedicated Development Coach, monthly evidence based assessments, quarterly workshops and a final assessment at the end of the course.
The Store Manager Academy launch was marked with an event at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on Wednesday 21st June, 2017. The day included guidance on learning skills and styles, an introduction to the e-portfolio site and time to get to know the Development Coaches who will guide them through the programme.
