Bensons for Beds re-opens Thurrock concept store

Today marks the re-opening of a new Bensons for Beds concept store in Thurrock - a two floor expansion and spacious retail area, offering a variety of beds, frames and mattresses on the lower floor and a selection of bedroom furniture upstairs.

The store, located at Lakeside Retail Park, is the newest opening for Bensons for Beds and follows recent store openings in Manchester, Bolton and Aintree.

The growing retail footprint supports Bensons for Bed’s dominance as one of Britain’s favourite bed specialists and as one of the UK’s leading authorities in sleep through its partnership with The Sleep School. The new stores provides an array of services that will continue to establish and build relationships with local customers offering bespoke experiences unlike other retail stores. Alongside the assistant manager, Steve Blackabee, who has been working at Bensons for 17 years, the store opening will create a number of new jobs.

Offering new principles to their usual stores, Bensons for Beds concept stores are a multi-efficient retail space, with in-store ambassadors, working alongside The Sleep School’s sleep specialist Dr Guy Meadows to offer instore sleep consultations.

The new concept store features Bensons’ exclusive Comfort Station Adaptive – a technological development designed to improve the sleepless epidemic the UK currently suffers from. Never wanting to stand still, Bensons launched the Comfort Station Adaptive in 2015. This ground-breaking piece of technology adjusts to different firmness levels and then uses comfort tracking technology to identify how the user's body is affected by the way they sleep, and by using pressure sensing surface technology will show you where they need support. Comfort Adaptive Station is completely exclusive to Bensons.

Each new concept store will be offering a larger variety of products compared to regular stores. These include the newly launched bedroom furniture collection, and an exclusive and premium choice of bedframes. The products will sit alongside a range of famous UK brands from Silentnight, iGel, Tempur and Sensaform.

An exciting development for Bensons for Beds is the Furniture Design Centre, located on the first floor. With over 20 different styles to choose from, our interior specialists can help co-design your space and create a bespoke bedroom designed by you, for you.

Head of marketing, at Bensons for Beds, Lynda Stretton says: “We’re thrilled to be opening another megastore in a key retail area. We are looking forward to engaging with our customers and offering the community latest technology and specialist sleep and interior consultations.”

Bensons for Beds has more than 270 stores nationwide, which offer a wide range of mattresses, headboards, pillows and accessories, as well as a range of high-quality bedroom furniture.
