Last month, Top Drawer and Home unveiled their biggest autumn show to date at Olympia. World-class brands and smaller creative businesses were joined by a host of new exhibitors, who collectively launched thousands of new products.

“With a thriving Top Drawer, a second edition of Home autumn, that grew by over 40%, and the presence of the best design-led brands in the business from every sector, this was a really exciting show," comments a spokesperson for organiser Clarion. "What was particularly pleasing was that buyers saw so many favourites who have not shown in London for many years across all sectors of the show, such as Sia, Leonardo and One World, plus a host of brands who were new to the UK such as Canvas, direct from New York.”

The show was enjoyed by a wide audience, International buyers attended from 65 countries, generating an overseas attendance increase of 16%, while many prominent and influential UK buyers including Anthropologie, Harrods, Heals, John Lewis, Liberty, Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, National Gallery Company and Topshop also attended.

Major design brands including Alessi, AU Maison, Garden Trading, Forma House and LSA International showed alongside a strong intake of new Home exhibitors, with Anna Jacobs, Voyage Maison, Ulster Weavers, Dankotuwa Porcelain and Swarm Design England joining established Home exhibitors such as Black+Blum, Ella Doran Design, Makers & Merchants, Make International and White Brands.

A number of successful events within the show were run over the three days. The Academy Masterclasses, which offered short seminars and presentations led by informative experts and keynote speakers, played a prominent role. Wayne Hemingway’s keynote address on how ‘Creative-led Regeneration’ is benefitting retailers, proved a hot-ticket, as did many of the other engaging and varied talks from a host of expert speakers.

Now established as one of Top Drawer’s main attractions, Spotted, the new talent section of the show curated by Charlotte Abrahams, returned with 10 brand new names and some of the best from 2014’s showcase. The event also saw Home and Top Drawer partner with Moo, an award-winning online print and design company, which invited visitors to try their hand at live-letterpressing on its stand.

With a major rebrand and the addition of new elements such as speciality and fine food planned, the January event – running from 17-19th January 2016 – looks set to be another record-breaking edition.
