According to Retail Week, DFS plans to trial a small-format store in an exploration of new formats, including city-centre stores.
The retailer will open the 2500 sqft store at Westfield Stratford as part of its new strategy for growth.
Retail Week reports that the retailer is also experimenting with reducing its retail park stores down to 10,000 sqft, and is also trialling customer distribution centres as a possible replacement for its in-store warehouses.
