Buoyant Upholstery joins industry association

One of the largest sofa manufacturers in the country, Buoyant Upholstery, has joined the Furniture Industry Research Association.

Based in Nelson, Lancashire, Buoyant employs over 600 people and produces in excess of 2000 suites every week.

Glen Ainsworth, development director at Buoyant Upholstery, comments: “We wanted to join the Furniture Industry Research Association as it is a well-respected body and seen as the world leader in research and innovation for the furniture industry. As a member of the association, we will be able to use the technical information to our advantage and have the opportunity to influence standards for furniture.”

The benefits of being a member of the association include market intelligence reports, opportunities to influence standards and issues affecting the industry, technical and innovation reports, access to a technical support helpline, marketing publications, discounts and voucher credits to spend on commercial services offered by FIRA International, such as testing, training and technical services, and the promotion of products via the website.
