Harveys becomes a member of The Furniture Ombudsman

One of the largest furniture specialists in the UK has shown its commitment to its customers by joining the industry’s ombudsman. Harveys, which has over 150 furniture stores nationwide, is now a full member of The Furniture Ombudsman (TFO).

TFO specialises in providing Alternative Dispute Resolution solutions for consumers and retailers in the furniture and home improvement industries. It also aims to raise standards, improve service and inspire consumer confidence.

Customer services director for Harveys, Richard Powell, says: “Harveys are committed to ensuring our customers are totally satisfied when they buy from us. We are dedicated to the highest standards of service and product, and always strive to continually develop these.

“To this end, we are delighted to join TFO and demonstrate our commitment to raising standards as a responsible retailer. The additional protection offered through this membership will give our customers even greater reassurance and peace of mind at every stage of their shopping experience.”

Harveys’ range includes sofas and armchairs, dining tables and chairs, coffee tables and display cabinets.

Kevin Grix, head of TFO, says: “We are very pleased to welcome Harveys as members of TFO. We work with leading high street retailers, as well as independents, to raise standards and inspire consumer confidence. Harveys joins our other members and further realises our objective of increased protection and reassurance in the furniture and home improvement industries.”
