International consumer goods fairs Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld joined forces for the first time from 3rd-7th February this year, with a focus on the key theme of sustainability.
A total of 4561 exhibitors occupied the entire Frankfurt exhibition centre across 352,950 sqm (gross) and presented their latest lines to some 154,000 retailers from from more than 170 nations, reports show organiser Messe Frankfurt.
"With an overwhelming participation and tremendous internationality, we have made an incredible comeback for the global consumer goods world after two years of pandemic. Frankfurt has strengthened its leading position and is the comprehensive inspiration, ordering and networking event. Our new-concept one-stop shop is working," says Detlef Braun, a member of Messe Frankfurt's executive board.
Ambiente Dining, Living and Giving were augmented by the new Working section, with a view to modern working worlds.
More than two thirds (7%) of the shows' visitors attended from abroad. In addition to Germany, the strongest participating nations included Italy, France, the Netherlands, the US, Great Britain, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland, Greece and Poland – including the likes of Amazon, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. Major distributors of hotel and restaurant supplies were also in attendance.
An extensive supporting programme, which brought together international speakers and designers such as Karim Rashid, Ross Lovegrove, Olivier Lapidus, Tassilo von Grolmann, plus young talents, was praised as "a valuable source of inspiration" – while the shows' concurrent online platform, Digital Extension, boasted a total of 80,242 participants, with over 8000 networking interactions. Exhibitors and visitors can continue to network via the online platform until 17th February.
Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld will continue to be held simultaneously at the Frankfurt exhibition centre – from 26-30th January in 2024 (with Creativeworld starting one day later than the other events).
