The 43rd edition of CIFF drew to a close on 31st March, with the fair’s organiser reporting the largest number of exhibitors, visitors and events to date – plus a marked improvement in product design and exhibitor satisfaction.

Attracting an impressive 4344 exhibitors (arrayed over 760,000 sqm of exhibition space) and 297,759 trade visitors, this year’s event proved a resounding success.

Dozens of design events and seminars covering various aspects of the market outlined new trends, providing a wealth of inspiration for visitors. These were buoyed by the presence of over 60 well-known designers, the quality of buyers, booths and products present, and the show’s clear sector-by-sector layout. In short, the ongoing improvement to the services available to both visitors and exhibitors helped make this year’s exhibition better than ever.

CIFF meets demand for both domestic and international products in the home and office sectors. An increasingly international event – both in terms of visitors and exhibitors, as well as trends and quality standards – CIFF takes place in two phases, covering the entire supply chain. The first is dedicated to home furniture, home decor and textiles, plus outdoor and leisure furniture – while the second focuses on office and contract furniture as well as machinery, materials and components for the industry.

According to CIFF’s organiser, this edition confirmed the show’s place as Asia’s leading business platform, and the preferred industry launchpad for new products, stating that over 90% of the exhibitors introduced new collections, while over 50 companies organised on-site launch events.

Design, customisation, minimalism, and understated luxury proved the main trends running through CIFF’s Home Furniture event, which featured a good number of creative brands and international players, while CIFF Homedecor & Hometextile offered solutions for interior decoration, furnishings fabrics, decorative lighting and art in the domestic environment.

Meanwhile, CIFM/interzum guangzhou focused on intelligent technology and new developments in furniture manufacturing.

Ahead of next year’s CIFF Guangzhou in March 2020, the 44th edition of CIFF will take place in Hongqiao, Shanghai from 8-11th September.
