CIFF Shanghai just around the corner

Since its launch in 1998, CIFF – in the form of the Guangzhou edition each spring and the autumn show, recently relocated to Hongqiao, Shanghai – has grown healthily over 41 editions, and is now regarded as a global platform for the world’s largest furniture market …

The two phases of CIFF Guangzhou that took place in March attracted more than 4100 exhibitors, including some 90% of China’s most influential brands, plus many major international furniture companies. According to the fair’s organiser, the event was eminently successful, attracting 195,082 visitors from all over the world.

The focus now moves on to the 42nd edition of CIFF, which will bring new energy to the furniture sector in the impressive Hongqiao setting.

The organiser expects great things from this edition, which promises to closely explore the relationship between design and lifestyle. It will be complemented by China’s national exhibition industry team, China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation (CFTE), as well as China’s largest furniture mall, Red Star Macalline. These two industry giants have collaborated to bring the audience more high-end domestic and international brands, original design elements and cutting-edge industry trends.

CIFF Shanghai will cover the entire National Exhibition & Convention Centre, across some 400,000 sqm. Around 2000 exhibitors will present new products for an expected 100,000-plus visitors, bringing the entire supply chain together and covering home furniture, decor, textiles, plus outdoor, office, commercial and hotel furniture, alongside furnituremaking machinery and raw materials.

Highlights will include the International & Design Hall (3) and Fashion Furniture Hall (4.1), as well as the Shanghai International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair, co-organised by CFTE and Adsale.

Diverse satellite and partner events will help create an even more rewarding visiting experience – these will include the East Design Show, Milan & Shanghai Creative Twin City, the Pinnacle Awards Asia-Pacific, China Design Forum, China Interiors & Decoration Conference, Design Dream Show, Office Life Theme Pavilion and the City Art & Design Tour.

As a leading Chinese furniture exhibition, CIFF is fast becoming an essential trading platform for the global industry, and the Shanghai 2018 edition promises to be stronger than ever.

CIFF Shanghai 2018 will run from 10-13th September at the National Exhibition & Convention Centre, Hongqiao.
