Furniture industry professionals from across the UK gathered in Northamptonshire for the annual National Golf Day, sponsored by Bensons for Beds, raising £5200 in support of industry charity The Furniture Makers’ Company.
The event, which took place on Wednesday 16th July, brought together teams from industry names including NEJ Stevenson, Designer Contracts, Ercol Furniture, Dreams, Burbidge & Sons, Ocee & Four Design, Bensons for Beds, Associated Independent Stores, Castelan, Biesse Group UK, and Sealy, as well as individual players.
Following breakfast, golfers competed in an 18-hole Stableford competition at Northamptonshire County Golf Club. A two-course lunch was served after the game, followed by a prize-giving ceremony.
Designer Contracts led the scoreboard, taking first place in the team competition with a total of 94 points. The team's player James Gibson won first place in the individual competition with a score of 42, while teammate Neil Lloyd came second with 39 points. Bensons for Beds secured second place in the team competition.
