Earlier this month, the newly reformed Midlands Region of The Furniture Makers' Company organised a mixer event, ahead its Tug of War Family Fun Day on 28th June.
The mixer, which took place on Tuesday 3rd June, was organised by Gina Thomson, Paul James and Lynda Corrigan, and welcomed 21 attendees, including CEO Jonny Westbrooke, and past masters Brian Ahern and Amanda Waring.
The event was held at The Bunker, a venue sponsored by Lynda from DPG Foam Convertors, with the welcome drinks sponsored by Gina from George Stewart Design.
Liveryman Paul James says: “This was a fantastic evening, and the first of many. Thank you to all those that attended and supported the Midlands Region. Next up is our Tug of War event on 28th June at Long Eaton Rugby Club. We have a few team spaces available, so please shout if you would like to join in the fun!”
Debbie Johnson, master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, says: “A special thank you to Gina Thomson, Paul James and Lynda Corrigan for making this first event such a success. We’ve already received enthusiastic feedback from those who joined us, and we’re looking forward to building on this momentum. We hope this is the first of many successful events for the Midlands Region.”
