Image Furnishings announces UK expansion ahead of JFS

Image Furnishings, one of Ireland's and the UK’s most prominent wholesale sofa partners, has announced a major expansion of its services across the UK, strengthening its team and its position as a "go-to supplier" for independent retailers, regional chains, multi-store operators and buying groups.

The announcement comes as Image showcases its latest collections and a new brand identity at the upcoming January Furniture Show, marking a milestone in its 2026 growth strategy. For over 20 years, Image has strived to build a reputation on comfort, reliability and commercial performance. Continuing the values of its family-run beginnings, the Gannon brothers David and Mark, and their teams across Ireland, the UK and China, say they have worked hard to maintain one clear principle: "Exceptional design matched by dependable quality and outstanding service".

As the company enters a new chapter, this philosophy remains at the core of its development. Already recognised as one of Ireland’s leading wholesale furniture suppliers, Image is expanding its current operational footprint to offer UK retailers more direct access to a business model "shaped for today’s commercial landscape".

Six new sales agents have been recruited to drive the expansion, that aims to provide stores with: ready-to-go stock and strong sell-through ranges; fast, reliable delivery; accessible after-sales support; and on-trend designs with proven performance.

“Retailers need partners who can react quickly, supply consistently and support growth. We have always prioritised long-term partnerships over one-off transactions. That philosophy shapes every step of the customer experience,” says director Mark Gannon.

“Our UK expansion is about giving retailers confidence, speed and reliability. For over 20 years, Ireland and UK retailers have trusted us to bring comfort, style and quality into their homes and living spaces.”

Image says it creates sofa collections with both customers and retailers in mind. From strong hardwood frames and durable fabrics to European-engineered motion technology, the sofas are designed for "everyday living and extraordinary days", says Image. "Each product is engineered for durability, comfort and commercial appeal."

Key features include: frames built using resilient, high-quality plywood, supported by hardwood in essential areas to provide dependable strength and long-term durability; high-performance fabrics that purport to balance trend with practicality; precision motion technology for comfort and longevity; and clear warranties and accessible support for both retailer and customer.

"The result is furniture that performs on the shop floor," says Image, "stylish enough to attract attention, practical enough to sell consistently and reliable enough to minimise returns."

Image’s vertically integrated model aims to offer manufacturer-level control without factory ownership constraints. Sampling, standards and production are overseen by Image Furnishings' dedicated teams in Ireland and the UK, and supported by its specialist quality, development and support team based in China. This vertically integrated structure promises tight quality control, fast decision-making, greater scalability and inventory, with lead times on many bestsellers available within as little as 14 days.

“Our supply chain is engineered to give retailers the right product, at the right price, delivered quickly," adds Mark, "so their customers can enjoy the perfect, comfortable sofa without the typical long waiting period. In a market where delays can cost retailer sales, speed and quality are our competitive advantage.”

Image Furnishings says its service model prioritises partnership over transactions, and that retailers benefit from: clear, proactive communication, from ordering through to delivery; straightforward warranties, supporting retail teams; responsive after-sales support, led by experienced service professionals; and regular range updates, informed by market insights and trends

Image says that this approach allows retailers to focus on selling confidently and profitably while the supplier handles the complexity behind the scenes.

As Image moves into 2026, the brand is unveiling a refreshed, contemporary identity that reflects its evolution. Visitors to the January Furniture Show are promised: modern, refined contemporary collections with trend-driven fabrics; a renewed visual identity, reflecting the brand’s confidence and growth; a forward-thinking stand experience showcasing comfort, innovation and craftsmanship; and a clear articulation of Image Furnishing’s promise – dependable comfort, quality and retail success.

“This is much more than a brand update, it's a statement of intent. We're expanding our UK footprint, deepening our stock and committing to delivery speeds that change the game for UK retailers,” says Mark. “Image Furnishings is entering 2026 stronger, sharper and more ambitious than ever.”

Image Furnishings was awarded Best Stand at the January Furniture Show in 2025, and will return to the Birmingham NEC from 18th-21st this month to showcase its new product ranges and meet buyers. Find Image Furnishings on stand 3-B20.
