According to a March 2025 report by CSIL (Milan), Vietnam ranked sixth globally in the production – and second globally in exports – of furniture products in 2024, based on value.
With a leading position in South East Asia, Vietnam has become a key destination for international buyers – and this year, the Vietnamese real estate market is undergoing a strong recovery and development phase, with growth in supply, demand, and government support policies leading to an increase in construction projects, reports the organiser of import/export fair VIFA ASEAN, with the demand for furniture for construction projects set to increase accordingly.
VIFA ASEAN 2025 will take place from 26-29th August 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, and will be the opening event of the Asia's autumn 2025 furniture exhibition series, also featuring events such as KOFURN (South Korea), MFFM (Malaysia), Maison Shanghai, CIFF Shanghai, Furniture China and IFFINA (Indonesia).
"With this pioneering position, VIFA ASEAN 2025 has become the leading destination for international buyers seeking high-quality furniture supply in Asia," states VIFA ASEAN's organiser.
"With an expected scale of over 1000 booths and the participation of 350 leading businesses from Vietnam and South East Asian countries, VIFA ASEAN 2025 promises to offer a professional and diverse exhibition space. The event gathers leading businesses and suppliers in the industry, including: manufacturing and exporting enterprises of furniture and home decoration products for residential and commercial projects; consulting, architectural, and interior/exterior design units; and furniture organisations and associations from Vietnam, ASEAN countries, and internationally."
VIFA ASEAN ise to to be enhanced this year, meeting the needs of visitors across five sectors: Residential and commercial furniture (50%); Home decoration, household items, and handicrafts (20%); Design, architecture, construction, and trends (20%); Machinery, equipment, and materials (5%); and the ASEAN House, featuring ASEAN country pavilions showcasing unique furniture and handicrafts (5%).
"As a trade bridge, VIFA ASEAN opens doors for co-operation and sustainable development for exhibitors," the show organiser continues. "VIFA ASEAN is a strategic connection platform and a direct trading venue between the South East Asian furniture manufacturing community and tens of thousands of exhibition visitors from around the world.
"Participating in VIFA ASEAN, Vietnamese exhibitors will have the opportunity to access thousands of global importers, find outlets, and international export orders for their products. Meanwhile, exhibitors from ASEAN will find golden opportunities to export their products to the dynamic and potential Vietnamese market.
"And from 2025, VIFA ASEAN will be a place for exhibitors to connect with investors and contractors of construction projects, apartments, condominiums, restaurants, cafes, hotels, resorts and airports in Vietnam and worldwide.
"VIFA ASEAN 2025 is an ideal place for international importers and buyers to find and select high-quality, export-standard goods with diverse designs, meeting all requirements, saving time in finding suitable suppliers. At the same time, VIFA ASEAN helps investors and contractors of construction projects find quality and stable supply sources at competitive prices, and allows design experts to explore new trends."
