With 13 new models – the result of "one powerful partnership" – Buoyant Upholstery's collaboration with recliner and leather specialist Premier is set to take centre stage at the NEC Birmingham at this year's January Furniture Show.
After making headlines recently with the announcement of its collaboration Premier, Buoyant is preparing for its biggest-ever showcase at this month's event, where the manufacturer will unveil 13 new models – a combination of five of Buoyant’s bestselling designs reimagined in leather, and eight all-new recliners co-developed with Premier exclusively for the UK market.
“The initial reaction from agents and retailers has been fantastic,” says Buoyant MD Mike Aramayo. “We’ve proven that by combining Buoyant’s design and market knowledge with Premier’s expertise in leather and recliner manufacturing, we can bring something genuinely new and exciting to the market.”
The line-up will feature five familiar Buoyant favourites and top-selling static designs, now transformed in leather finishes, alongside eight entirely new and exclusive recliners designed in collaboration with Premier’s expert development team.
Buoyant says the partnership with Premier has enabled it to broaden its offer without compromising on its core strengths in British-made upholstery, in "a move that positions the company perfectly to meet the evolving needs of the modern furniture retail market – one where speed, flexibility and variety are increasingly essential".
As ever, Buoyant is keeping its focus firmly on the customer. “This isn’t just about adding new models,” Mike explains. “It’s about offering retailers more choice, more value, and more reasons to work with Buoyant.”
In addition to these new collections, Buoyant will be showing proven winners and some of its new fabric models for 2026 on stands 5-F30 and G30 at the show, taking place from 18th-21st this month.
