Siesta Beds launched a number of new products last year, all of which were received well and passed all expectations, states the Birmingham-based supplier …

According to Siesta Beds, its new Enhanced Gel superior edge-to-edge encapsulated Pocketed range proved particularly popular.

The Sublime superior edge-to-edge 5000 pocketed unit with gel-infused fabric, upholstered with Kay Gel, offers a high degree of comfort and climate control, along with superior support – while the Superb offers all these benefits, together with a spring count of 3000.

Then there is Siesta’s new Bamboo range, which consists of 3000, 1500 and 1000 pocket-sprung beds. With a greater understanding of sustainable resources, along with the material benefits of bamboo – which, says the company, is as soft as silk, or wool with a natural deodoriser – is now being used more commonly in fabrics, sheets and baby grows.

However, when used as a fibre within a bed, bamboo’s natural comfort, resilience and elasticity offers an improved sleeping experience, along with support.

The Exquisite features infused Copper Latex as an upholstery option, and this also employs the superior edge-to-edge pocket support from the encapsulated range. Copper is a good thermal conductor which rapidly transfers heat away from the body, and is also antimicrobial, and thought to promote health and wellness.

The manufacturer behind Siesta, Softheads, has now launched the Mulliners handmade bed collection. All models are hand side-stitched and upholstered with cashmere, silk, mohair, wool and bamboo. Arcadia contains 8000 pocket springs, Oriana 6000, Azura 5000 and Aurora 3000. All these models are available with sprung edge, firm edge sprung centre, and firm top bases.

Softheads has announced an open week taking place in line with the dates of the NEC January Furniture Show at its factory, which will also allow customers to view the manufacturing process firsthand.

The factory can be viewed by appointment from 21st-24th January between 9am and 4pm (but open until 8pm on request).
