Bensons reopens with new concept in Salisbury

Bensons for Beds is moving into a new store in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

The bed and mattress retailer is moving into Unit 3 at Bourne Retail Park, Salisbury. The new store opens on Friday 6th May, with almost 5000 sqft of trading space on the first floor. The store is shared with Carpet Barn, which occupies the ground floor.

It is one of the first Bensons stores to open with a new fascia and internal signage, since the business underwent a rebranding process last month.

The new Salisbury store will also offer Bensons’ personalised service - ‘your bed, your way’ - which enables in-store staff to help customers to choose the mattress that matches their sleep needs, and then style it with a made-to-order bed in five steps.

Bensons’ MD for retail, Alan Williams, says: “We’re looking forward to opening our new Salisbury store, where we can show the best of what Bensons for Beds has to offer to people in the city and the surrounding region.

“Customers really like our new-concept stores, where they can see our full ranges and get all the help they need to make the right choice of bed and mattress so they can get the best night’s sleep possible.”

The store is run by manager Zaniz Charles who has been with the company for four years at the Andover store.

The opening marks a return to Salisbury for Bensons, which closed its store in Southampton Road Retail Park last year.

The refit is the latest investment by Bensons under its transformation plan, and follows the opening of eight stores in December and seven so far this year.
