Dreams to close early for Christmas

Bed retailer Dreams is giving its staff an extra day’s holiday ahead of the festive break. The doors of all stores will shut after trading on Monday 20th December, and all teams will finalise preparations in-store the following day ahead of the Dreams Winter Sale, before going home.

Dreams says the move was agreed to recognise and reward the teams’ hard work over the last year, and to give them extra time with their friends and family ahead of the busy retail period between Christmas and New Year.

Jonathan Hirst, COO and incoming CEO, says: “Our colleagues have worked incredibly hard this year and have been there for our customers in the most difficult of circumstances. That’s why we’re delighted to continue our Christmas tradition and give our colleagues some well-deserved rest and special time with their loved ones. A small token of thanks for their remarkable efforts, ahead of what we know will be a busy period in-store.”
