Luxury sleep brand joins industry charity

The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry, has welcomed British luxury sleep brand Brook + Wilde as a corporate supporter.

Brook + Wilde specialises in innovative mattresses and well-designed bedroom furniture. Voted as one of Country & Townhouse Magazine’s Great British Brands in both 2020 and again in 2021, Brook + Wilde has built a reputation as one the UK’s most premium online home retailers.

By signing up as a corporate supporter, companies can get involved in the furnishing sector and directly participate in the industry’s only charitable organisation. Each corporate supporter has the opportunity to nominate one corporate freeman.

Andrew Tyler, co-founder of the company, was admitted as Brook + Wilde’s corporate freeman in a special online ceremony on 3rd December. He says: “We are delighted to join The Furniture Makers’ Company as corporate supporter, and look forward to supporting and promoting the British furnishing industry. The Furniture Makers’ Company is a fantastic organisation with an outstanding reputation for the charitable work it undertakes, which in the current climate is more important than ever.”

David Woodward, master of The Furniture Makers’ Company, adds: “We are very pleased to welcome Brook + Wilde as corporate supporters. Our corporate supporters are of the greatest importance to us – and to the future of furnishing. We are pleased that so many different companies from the wider furnishing industry understand the importance of joining as members and supporting our charitable endeavours. We look forward to welcoming Andrew to Furniture Makers’ Hall at some point in the future when circumstances allow so we can re-admit him in a live ceremony. Until then it is great to have Brook + Wilde on board.”
