Loaf appoints new operations director

Loaf has appointed David Meredith as its new operations director.

David joins the brand having spent six years at John Lewis & Partners. Prior to joining John Lewis, he held various senior roles at Royal Mail and online fashion retailer, ASOS.

At Loaf, David will lead on all aspects of the brand’s delivery and aftersales experience, including management of its third-party logistics partner and warehousing operation. He will also be responsible for ensuring the company’s operations support its ambitious plans to double sales over the next five years.

Charlie Marshall, Loaf's founder and CEO of Loaf, comments: “We are delighted to have David join the team. We’ve got big plans for our brand and at the forefront of that is an ambition to deliver a truly exceptional delivery and aftersales experience for our customers. David is a crucial hire in delivering this and we can’t wait for him to get stuck in.”

Founded in 2008, Loaf reached a turnover of over £50m in 2019/20, qualifying for the Virgin Fast Track 100 four years in a row. While the brand’s showrooms have been closed for large parts of the current financial year due to the pandemic, Loaf expects to report industry-leading sales growth when its financial year comes to a close in March 2021.

David commenced his new role at the start of January.
