Dura Beds returns to show with new accreditation

Batley-based Dura Beds is returning to the January Furniture Show next week, following a seven-year absence. There, it will be launching nine models plus a new vacuum-packed mattress range.

Dura Beds, which was suspended from the National Bed Federation (NBF) last year for failing the association's audit process, has also announced that it is the first UK bed and mattress manufacturer to be granted the Buy With Confidence: Trading Standards Approved status.

"To achieve this accreditation meant going through a very thorough and robust auditing process on our complete testing and administration processes to ensure we, as a business, fully comply with all aspects of the UK FR regulations," says MD Imran Akhtar. "We firmly believe that this accreditation will provide both retailers and the end consumer with full confidence that every single product that leaves our factory is 100% safe, clean and honest.

"This is not just a one-off process on auditing for this accreditation – it’s an annual event, and one we will continue to cherish and maintain for the business."

The January Furniture Show runs from 19th-22nd this month at the Birmingham NEC.
