Land of Beds tackles mountains for counselling charity

This Saturday, Land of Beds' MD Mike Murray, together with nine members of his team, will take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, a 25-mile hike up three of the tallest peaks in Yorkshire – Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). The walk is around 25 miles, and the challenge is to complete it within 12 hours.

The bed retailer has committed to the fundraiser to raise money for Platform for Life, a small charity which offers free counselling for families going through difficult and traumatic times.

"All the money we raise will go directly towards paying for parents, caregivers, teenagers and children to get the counselling they need, but cannot afford," says Mike. "Therefore, we would love if you could help us raise money for this great cause by leaving a donation on our fundraising page.

"It only takes two minutes to donate, but could help change the lives of the families your money will go towards helping. Plus, you can leave a good luck message to inspire us on the day!"

Mike promises to post photos and videos of the event on Land of Beds' Facebook page this weekend.
