Jay-Be receives manufacturing accolade

Following a successful audit, Yorkshire bed manufacturer Jay-Be has been awarded the Manufacturing Guild Mark by The Furniture Makers’ Company.

Jay-Be is a family-run bed manufacturer that is best known for its folding beds, sofa beds and children's mattresses. The company’s products are sold in more than 22 countries.

Manufacturing Guild Mark chairman Ben Burbidge presented Jay-B MD Roger Durrans with the certificate of accreditation at the company’s manufacturing facility in Dewsbury on 26th March.

Ben says: “Jay-Be is the latest company to successfully demonstrate its prowess across the eight assessment criteria used to determine whether a company is deserving of a Manufacturing Guild Mark. Congratulations to the whole team at Jay-Be, who should be incredibly pleased with their achievement.”

Roger comments: "We are delighted to have been awarded the prestigious Manufacturing Guild Mark, and extremely proud that Jay-Be has been recognised in this way."

Sponsored by Lectra and Biesse Group, the Manufacturing Guild Mark has distinguished Britain’s top furnishing manufacturers since 1993. Nineteen companies currently hold the mark.
