Sopha opens in Highbridge

The grand opening of Sopha's new store on Church Street, Highbridge, Somerset, will take place on Saturday 27th April.

The store, which stands on the site of the old George Hotel on the A38 in Highbridge and incorporates a cafe and large showrooms, took two-and-a-half years to build and renovate, and went through a soft launch process in November.

The event is set to include live music and entertainment, street food and a craft fair, and the opening ceremony is to be carried out in the presence of the town mayor. The first 100 customers will receive a free gift bag, while a raffle will see hundreds of pounds worth of prizes given away.

Sopha sells handmade beds, furniture and home decor, offering bespoke and exclusive lines wherever possible. The day will see the first stage of the launch of Sopha’s summer range, plus a warehouse clearance and a range of special offers. Some furniture manufacturers will also make an appearance in-store.

Founders Matt and Emily Scott say: "After almost three years of hard work on our building we’re really pleased to be able to officially declare our store open. It means so much to us that we’re a furniture store with a difference, and we’re really looking forward to giving something back to the local community. We’d love to see as many people as possible coming for what we hope will be a great day out.”
