Industry charity welcomes new members

The Furniture Makers’ Company, a City of London livery company and the furnishing industry’s charity, has welcomed four new corporate members – fabric manufacturer Camira Fabrics bed manufacturer Harrison Spinks, flooring distributor Headlam Group plc and office furniture manufacturer Ocee International.

Corporate membership provides opportunities for companies involved in the furnishing sector to directly participate in the industry’s only charitable organisation.Membership contributions are critical to the company’s ability to deliver much-needed support for welfare, education and excellence.

Ruairi Giles, commercial director at Harrison Spinks, says: “On behalf of the whole company, Harrison Spinks is delighted to be admitted to The Furniture Makers’ Company as corporate members. We look forward to taking an active role in the livery going forward and supporting the great work that they do. The charity does an awful lot of good on behalf of the furniture industry, including funding apprenticeships, providing support with training new skills and of course the benevolent fund.”
