January Furniture Show introduces contactless lead tracking

January Furniture Show 2018, which runs from 21st-24th January at Birmingham’s NEC, will be the largest event by a UK organiser to use Poken contactless event technology.

Poken offers "quick and easy" information and lead generation. Visitors will receive a smart badge as they enter the show, which allows them to collect exhibitor information. There will be touchpoints on all exhibitor stands, which contain exhibitor information such as contact details and brochures. To collect this information, visitors tap their smart badge on the touchpoint.

Even if a stand is busy, Poken ensures that visitors and exhibitors do not miss a crucial contact.

Visitors will receive a summary email at the end of each day that details all the information they have collected, and the stands they have visited. Poken also allows exhibitors to see who is tapping on their touchpoints in real time, so they no longer have to worry about missing buyers they want to see.

Poken is completely secure as no personal data is recorded or transmitted.

Laraine Janes, event director, says: “This is a massive investment for the show and both exhibitors and visitors will reap the benefits this new technology will bring.”
