Jysk to open first stores in Belgium

On Wednesday 5th April, founder and owner of Jysk, Lars Larsen, will cut the ribbon for the first Jysk store in Belgium, marking yet another milestone for the company.

Schoten in the Northern part of Belgium will be the venue for the opening of the first Jysk store in the country. Founder and owner of Jysk, Lars Larsen, will open the store on 5th April, thereby giving the population in Belgium the possibility to shop in local Jysk stores.

The opening in Belgium also marks another important step towards the goal of spreading Jysk stores throughout the world.

“The opening in Belgium is a milestone because it means that there are now Jysk stores in almost every European country. However, the goal is to establish Jysk stores all over the world, so there is still a lot of work to do,” says Lars.

Lars will open the store in Schoten accompanied by the Danish ambassador to Belgium, Louise Bang Jespersen.

Simultaneously with the opening of the store in Schoten, Jysk will also open a store in the city of Genk approximately 90 kilometres away.

“We are looking forward to presenting our Belgian customers to Jysk and the Scandinavian culture, which is integrated in everything we do, from the design of our products to the way we run our business. Our Scandinavian culture has been an important part of making Jysk a success in 47 countries, and I am sure that this will also be the case in Belgium,” says Lars.

The new stores in both Schoten and Genk will open at 9am, and customers can look forward to food and music all day.
