Shire Beds agrees sponsorship deal with Leeds Rhinos

Kicking-off its 20th anniversary celebrations, The Shire Bed Company has agreed a two year sponsorship deal with Leeds Rhinos for the coming Rugby League season.

The family-owned company, which is already a major sponsor of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, continues to fly the flag for Yorkshire by becoming an official partner of Leeds Rhinos, and cementing its partnership at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, an iconic stadium in the world of sport.

With the much-anticipated start of the season in a few weeks’ time, the deal coincides with the “pleasure in business and business in pleasure” theme of the year’s forthcoming 20th anniversary celebrations for the company, and the Leeds Rhinos brand, which also celebrates its 20th birthday in 2017.

Fara Butt, marketing director, The Shire Bed Company, says: “As keen supporters of the local community we are very proud to be a partner of Leeds Rhinos. Our passion for Yorkshire makes this an excellent match for us. Team Shire are looking forward to the season ahead and cheering on team Rhinos.”

Leeds Rhinos commercial director, Rob Oates, says: “We are delighted that Shire Bed’s has agreed to become an official partner of the club. It is an established, reputable Yorkshire brand that shares the same values as ourselves and joins our elite band of existing commercial partners.”

Established in 1997, the same year that the Leeds Rugby League team became Leeds Rhinos, The Shire Bed Company is a family-run business with roots firmly based in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, where it produces high quality beds, mattresses and divan bases.

The company supplies nationally and internationally to major retailers and the contract sector including education, care and hospitality.
