Libra rolls out new retail concept

After successfully establishing retail concepts in some of the UK’s leading furniture stores, British furniture and homewares supplier, Libra is rolling out the initiative and inviting all of its stockists to benefit from a dedicated in-store Libra shop.

The Libra retail concept sees the brand’s team of experts work with a stockist to create a bespoke visual merchandising solution that has now been proven to boost like-for-like turnover on a per square metre basis.

Each retail concept brings together handpicked products from Libra’s extensive portfolio which are then curated into inspirational displays drawing on Libra’s new seasonal product ‘stories’ – themes based on this year’s most influential design trends. The concept is then tailored by Libra’s shop fit team to the space available, including custom-made walls and fixtures.

Stockists with a Libra retail concept also benefit from seasonally-refreshed marketing and display materials, training and advice for sales staff, access to a dedicated display team as well as exclusive offers and preferential stock allocation thanks to automatic membership to the Libra VIP club.

Paul McLaughlin, MD at Libra, says: “Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of Libra, recognising us as a brand that sources and designs the very best products from across the globe, and a name that is synonymous with quality craftsmanship.

“In an ongoing effort to champion these values as well as support our stockists, we wanted to provide retailers with the opportunity to work with us to create coherent displays that are not only stunning but are commercially beneficial.

“Our new retail concept has been proven to be popular with both retailers and consumers alike and we can’t wait to get more stockists on board.”

Shackletons Home & Garden in Lancashire was one of the first to showcase a Libra retail concept. Owner David Shackleton says: “The Libra concept has further enhanced our customer experience and created real ‘wow factor’ at the main entrance to our showroom. We’ve had a huge amount of comments from our customers – all extremely positive, and sales are up substantially on last year”.

Dansk in Essex launched the Libra retail concept in 2015. General Manager, Ian Park, remarks: “The design is breath-taking and has really inspired our customers. We took over £1,000 of Libra sales on the first day of the concept opening”.

Libra has rolled out successful retail concepts with leading retailers across the UK, including those in Ireland. Four more concepts are due to launch during August and September and include the prestigious department stores Bentalls, Kingston and Fenwick’s, Colchester.
