New summit to focus on future of the high street

The team behind the Future High Street Summit has developed a new one-day conference, to be held this autumn, enabling town teams, BIDs, councils and town centre managers to create, organise and hold engaging events in their local areas.

The Community Engagement through Town Centre Events conference, which will be held in the Nottingham Conference Centre on 11th November, offers an opportunity for place-makers to learn from expert advice, share ideas for events and meet solution providers.

“Feedback from Future High Street Summit delegates earlier this year proved that town centre stakeholders find case studies and implementable ideas most useful for their professional objectives,” explains Clare Rayner, founder of the new conference. “With this in mind, we have created an exclusive conference, entirely dedicated to sharing ideas for town centre events and helping delegates to engage their local communities with fantastic activities.

“While this year’s summit had lots of varying content across two days, the Community Engagement through Town Centre Events conference is going to focus solely on those activities that help to bring a town together. Attendees will enjoy a whole day of case studies, practical advice and proven solutions that will allow them to leverage events within their areas.”

The outline agenda for the day has already been produced, addressing an array of town centre event topics across eight sessions, including event management, Christmas and other seasonal events, speciality markets, art and culture, supporting businesses, campaign events and social responsibility events.

Registration is now open, and early bookers can enjoy the discounted ticket price on a first-come, first-served basis by entering promotional code BIRD upon registration.
