Cycling an impressive 74 miles, The Foam Company’s MD, Mike Nash, and Andrew Parkin, account manager, took to the road in the Mix96 Tour de Vale bike ride.
The event, which is organised by WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport, is dedicated to providing opportunities for disabled people to live healthy active lifestyles.
The Tour de Vale took riders through one of the three routes starting and finishing at Stoke Mandeville Stadium. A record-breaking 2071 cyclists turned out which smashed the record for the biggest bike ride in Buckinghamshire, beating last year’s 1800 entries.
Said Mike: “We had a great day, we are both very much amateur but enthusiastic cyclists. It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness as well as raising funds for this very worthy cause.”
