Heal's to host colourful in-store events

Heal’s will celebrate the rich and rewarding world of colour and pattern with an exciting series of summer events in-store. Throughout May and June a host of design experts will be running inspiring talks and hands-on workshops and demonstrations with Heal’s. From legendary fashion designer Zandra Rhodes to the Guildford-based artist Jo Bound, social enterprise Out of the Dark to celebrated florists Wildabout Flowers, there is an event designed for everyone.

Out of the Dark: Revamp Workshops

Back by popular demand, Out of the Dark has teamed up with Heal’s for two more inspiring furniture upcycling workshops – one in central London, one in Kingston. During the exclusive sessions, the Out of the Dark team will show how to clean, sand, paint, wax and varnish loved pieces, to give them a new lease of life. Please note this is a skills session for adults only.

Wildabout Chelsea in Bloom

To coincide with the flower art show Chelsea in Bloom, esteemed London fashion florist Wildabout Flowers returns to Heal’s to run its latest masterclass. Guided by the experts, learn how to design and assemble hand-tied bouquets, using tricks of the trade.

Behind the Designs: Meet the Founder of Boeme, Jo Bound

Providing insight into the textile design process from one of the industry’s success stories, Jo Bound. The founder of British brand Boeme will be discussing the inspiration behind her natural designs, as she shares some of her original artwork and explains how she turns this into the striking fabric lengths and cushions available at Heal’s.

Designer in Session: How To Use Pattern

Having launched her exclusive design Lady Jane for Heal’s 1810 fabric collection, artist and pattern designer Petra Börner will host a colour confidence evening in Heal’s Tottenham Court Road store. Börner will address the best ways to introduce graphics, florals and abstract designs to the home.

Royal Academy: Meet the Curator

As the largest open-submission exhibition in the world, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition takes a skilled hand to put it together. The curator behind the mammoth show, Edith Devaney, explains how she selects, curates and hangs the work of thousands of established and amateur artists in one space. Drinks and nibbles served on arrival.
