Furniture Village helps fight blood cancer

Furniture Village teamed-up once again with UK charity Anthony Nolan, which helps save the lives of people suffering with blood cancer, for its Sofa of Change initiative, and raised £1714 during 2013.

Each of the 40 branches collected money with the sofa-shaped collection boxes next to the complimentary refreshment area, and customers were invited to make a donation to the pioneering charity whilst enjoying tea, coffee and cookies in-store.

Charlie Harrison, head of marketing and ecommerce at Furniture Village, says: “It was a pleasure collaborating with the Anthony Nolan charity to raise awareness and money for such a worthy cause. Peter Harrison, founder and chairman of Furniture Village, has been a trustee of Anthony Nolan since 2007, and in 2013, we jumped at the opportunity to once again support the life-altering work carried out by the charity.”
